Term Time Only plus 5 INSET days plus 10 extra days to be worked flexibly

(35 hours per week 08:30 – 16:30 Monday – Friday with 1 hour break)

Salary Scale Pt 23 (£37,209) to Pt 26 (£39,075) pro-rata

Actual Salary £33,573 – £35,257

Brentside High School is seeking to appoint a SaFE Worker to support the behaviour and pastoral intervention and support needed for effective learning within Sixth Form.  This is a key role in monitoring and supporting the progress of students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

We are a ‘popular and oversubscribed’ (Ofsted), 11-19 comprehensive school of 1,600 students. SaFE workers assist students’ academic and holistic progress. They ensure that Brentside’s Learning Agreement is adhered to and the appropriate interventions are put in place in order to make students feel safe, secure and successful. They provide support to the Year Leader with the coordination of all aspects of the development of independent learners within Sixth Form in order to lay the foundation for a successful academic career in preparation for their future.

The ideal candidate for this post:

*Will provide support to the Sixth Form in meeting the welfare and pastoral needs of students

*Will be able to manage behaviour and pastoral related concerns successfully and liaise with parents and carers and outside agencies to provide appropriate support

*Will share our belief that everyone can benefit from and has an entitlement to high quality educational opportunities

*Will contribute to the inclusive ethos of Brentside High School; supporting the positive image of the school in the local and wider community
