We are a thriving, inclusive, 2 form entry school seeking to appoint a full time SENDCo. This is a permanent, non – class based post that will determine the strategic development of the SEND policy across the school and will be responsible for the daily implementation of provision to support our pupils.

The SENDCo will be expected to support our experienced teachers in adapting the curriculum to provide the best outcomes for children with additional needs. Working as part of the SLT, you will ensure that staff, parents and external agencies and schools are managed and supported to ensure that our children have the best opportunities to achieve their individual potential.

You will be:

  • A qualified teacher
  • An experienced SENDCo with excellent subject knowledge who has the ability to lead SEND across the whole school.
  • Able to work creatively, with a ‘can-do’ approach to teaching and inclusion
  • An excellent role model for our staff and pupils
  • Keen to work with our parents to formulate a holistic approach to SEN
  • Able to work closely with other schools both SEN and mainstream to ensure that future transition pathways for pupils are achieved
  • Willing to work closely with the LA team to navigate the policies and procedures required to efficiently gain relevant outcomes for eligible pupils
