Thank you for considering West Acton Primary School for the next step in your career. West Acton Primary School is a multicultural, diverse three form entry primary school with an Additionally Resourced Provision for children with ASD/Social Communication Difficulties.
We have had a successful OFSTED inspection earlier this year, so it is an exciting time to join West Acton and be part of our next chapter. We have dynamic, committed teachers who are passionate about improving the education of children at our school.
We are looking to strengthen our PPA provision and the subject of Music. We require a talented Music teacher who has very strong behaviour management and the ability to be flexible whilst providing engaging music lessons to all year groups. You will be expected to become a visible presence in the school and run two clubs after school as well as developing community events. Music has been steadily growing over the past few years at West Acton and our children are gaining in confidence to perform. You will be supported by an enthusiastic subject leader as well as committed and supportive leadership team.
This post is not suitable for an ECT or someone who performs regularly at different days and requires periods of time off or random days of leave. An UPS teachers will be considered however, they must be able to fulfil the school’s policy of being role model practitioners and making a sustained and substantial contribution to the school. Currently our UPS teachers lead a subject, an ongoing project or a whole school development area. If you are a UPS teacher please include separate information about this in your application statement. We would also consider a talented individual working as an unqualified teacher or HLTA who is able to plan and teach a music curriculum across a large busy primary school.
Visits to the school are greatly encouraged; if you would like to arrange please email hr@west-acton.ealing.sch.uk
