We are seeking a confident individual who has good attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work who can build on the success of the current post holder in this stand-alone role. This is a great opportunity for someone who is educated to A-level standard or equivalent with good project and time management skills, and the ability to write, edit and proof-read. It is essential that applicants possess good photographic skills for social media/newsletters, and strong communication skills. Excellent desk-top publishing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is a must with the ability to prioritise and work to tight and conflicting deadlines. A degree in a relevant field would be desirable as would experience in a DTP/graphic design role or graphic design processes.
This position will be of interest to those with a passion and talent for marketing and communications with the key focus of the role being to celebrate and promote all news and events at the Academy. You will be responsible for website management and content, our digital presence on social media, photographing the life of the Academy and working closely with teachers to produce curriculum brochures, newsletters, guidance documents and promotional material. You will also be responsible for developing our marketing strategy, working in close collaboration with an external agency.
The role is working Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm on either a term-time only (plus 2 weeks to be worked flexibly) or all year round working basis. Some evening work to cover events and evenings will be necessary. The position is to start in September ideally with a handover in late July with the current post holder.
