About the school
Teach West London
Teach West London is the Teaching School Hub serving Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow. Its vision is to empower schools to achieve the highest standards for students through training educators in effective classroom practice and school leadership. It has consciously developed a model of local partnership working and aimed to build capacity within partner schools. In the 18 months that it has been in operation it has been highly successful in engaging with schools across the four boroughs (as well extending its reach nationally in some areas). More than 330 schools currently make use of its networks overall either as part of the Early Careers Teacher programme and/or the National Professional Qualifications both of which it delivers in partnership with UCL. It also delivers some stand-alone CPD training in core curriculum areas and SEN.
Teach West London is the Teaching School Hub for the four London boroughs of Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow. The Teach West London Teaching School Hub is based at Ada Lovelace CofE High School, which is one of four schools which make up the Twyford CofE Academies Trust. Working in collaboration with the DfE and a network of expert local partners across the four boroughs, the Teaching School Hub is responsible for delivering the ‘golden thread’ of professional development spanning Initial Teacher Training (ITT), the Early Career Framework (ECF) and National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). From September 2023, the TSH has also offered an Appropriate Body Service. Twyford CE Academies Trust
The Twyford Trust comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing. The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community. The Twyford Trust aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting, and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well. Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the Trust is the overarching organisation which provides support for all Trust schools. The Trust has a highly evolved common curriculum which has been devised by staff within the four schools. The Trust is also the hub of Teach West London and prides itself on the standards of peer-led CPD within a dynamic culture of self-improvement.
