Attendance Officer

Scale 5, Points 11 – 15 (£25,670 – £27,282 pro-rata)

36 hours per week / 39 weeks per year

Commencing as soon as possible

This is an opportunity for the right person to join a team of experienced, successful and highly supportive support staff working in a high-quality well-resourced environment.  Full training and induction will be provided to the successful candidate.

You will:

  • *Be passionate about promoting excellent attendance at school
  • *Be able to work as part of the Attendance Team
  • *Have experience of working with young people in a school or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
  • *Have the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families to promote excellent attendance
  • *Have strong organisation skills and the ability to maintain accurate and appropriate attendance records
  • *Have excellent ICT skills
  • *Be pro-active with the implementation of agreed strategies to deal with poor attendance
  • *Be calm, supportive, positively assertive and have a flexible approach to your work
  • *Have the drive and energy to make a positive impact on school attendance
