We’re seeking an enthusiastic practitioner who:

  • Build effective and engaging relationships with young people in the Criminal Justice System, enhancing their life chances
  • Supervise young people on Court Orders with holistic and analytical assessments, planning and implementing innovative interventions
  • Collaborate with key agencies (education, social care, health) to forge positive partnerships
  • Represent the Youth Justice Service with competence and confidence in Court
  • Implement programmes that support desistance and divert young people from offending
  • Encourage restorative processes and foster enhanced victim empathy
  • Reinforce parental responsibilities and provide support to parents in this role

Essential Qualifications:

A professional qualification relevant to one of the partner agencies (social services, police, education, youth, probation, or health services), such as:

  • Diploma in Social Work
  • Diploma in Probation Studies
  • Diploma in Youth and Community Studies
  • Certificate of Education
  • Or substantial in-service training with evidence of validated learning and achievement
