Join our dynamic and innovative team as a Youth Justice Service Interventions Officer in a culturally diverse working environment that values creativity and high performance and offers exceptional training and development opportunities.  As our interventions Officer you will research, develop and evaluate effective and engaging interventions and activities for the Youth Justice Service which inspire positive change.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled practitioner who is:

  • Competent: You have the ability to assess risk effectively and supervise young people in group activities.
  • Collaborative: You excel at forging positive partnerships with key agencies such as education, social care, health, and community partners.
  • Innovative: You have a talent for researching, developing, and implementing creative interventions that reduce re-offending, manage risk, address safeguarding concerns, and promote desistance.
  • Supportive: You can reach out to support and engage difficult-to-reach or vulnerable young people.
  • Empowering: You reinforce parental responsibilities and provide support to parents in their role.
  • Effective: You contribute to reducing the number of young people entering custody and support the successful resettlement of those released.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in Youth Justice or related fields.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment, planning, delivering, and reviewing interventions to tackle offending behaviour, promoting child welfare, and addressing social needs.
  • Experience in working within multi-agency settings, drawing on the strengths and contributions of various agencies to minimize offending behaviour.

  • A relevant professional qualification
