Job description

Creating a better future for Ealing and its residents

There are fantastic things happening in Ealing. From inward investment projects to Crossrail and HS2, to the large-scale development of thousands of new homes across the borough, there’s so much to explore and develop. London Borough of Ealing Council are at the heart of exciting growth and you can be part of these future developments.

The directorate of Place has undergone a major change process in the last few months, transforming its frontline customer-focussed services to deliver a more joined up, cohesive service.

The Assets and Property function strives to be the best in class for operational service delivery across the range of services that it delivers to its Council tenants and leaseholders. As with many landlords in recent times, there has been a strong focus on health and safety in particular fire safety.   The journey continues as we strive to build on the progress made. The next milestone on that journey is to recruit to a number of key positions within the service. We are looking for high calibre individuals who relish the challenge of change management, will lead from the front, are focussed on delivering great outcomes and the best customer experience.

The Assets and Property team spend more than £40 million annually in maintaining, servicing and improving the Council’s housing stock. In this role, you will be expected to build a commercial framework across the service for managing all of the contracts and ensuring that the service has embedded effective procurement and strong commercial contract management.

Ealing Council operates flexible working policies, generous annual leave entitlement, and has a strong commitment to continuous training and diversity in employment.

This role is subject to Ealing Council’s enhanced vetting process.
