Fixed-term contract and/or secondment opportunity for Ealing Council employees for 12 months

Adopt London West RAA is a partnership service comprising the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Hounslow and is hosted by the London Borough of Ealing. The service recruit adopters and family-finds for children across our partner agencies. We also offer support services to adoptive and special guardianship families.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 x Practice Support Co-ordinator to join Adopt London West on a 12-month fixed term contract/ secondment cover. 

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and conscientious Practice Support Co-ordinator to join our team who will provide a comprehensive Business and administration support service.  This is a pivotal role to the smooth running and organisation of the service.  You will be the part of a team who are the first point of contact for enquiries from Prospective Adopters and partner agency professionals working closely with other professionals and childcare social workers across the Adopt London West region.  

The successful candidate will be an individual who: 

  • Can manage competing priorities and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.  
  • Has great communication skills and IT skills. 
  • The ability to adapt to new ways of working and to challenge and champion new ideas and processes. 
  • Can work productively with the Service to maintain high levels of data quality, maintaining systems & spreadsheets and producing key statistical information in relation to Children and Adoptive Families. 
  • Can be responsible for the accurate and confidential recording of a wide range of information pertaining to children and prospective adopters. 
  • Can process financial transactions in accordance with Financial regulations. 
  • Can provide extensive Panel Support in relation to our Monthly Adoption Panels 
  • Is reliable, efficient and has excellent organisational skills to fulfil a wide variety of administrative tasks to support the work of the team.  

You will be known for your attention to detail, can do attitude and demonstrate your ability to maintain focus whilst working under pressure to deadlines whilst delivering good customer service.

The post holder will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and Ealing’s enhanced vetting process. 

This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
