Job description

Ealing Council’s Parks Team is responsible for ensuring the boroughs parks and cemeteries are well maintained and presented, so they are a safe and pleasant place for Ealing’s residents and visitors. Additionally, the Parks Team work closely with local community groups and volunteers, whilst promoting, protecting and enhancing all Park sites and Green Spaces.

As Parks Officer of the Park Team you will be the primary contact and manage and monitor the performance of contractors within parks, allotments, cemeteries and green spaces. As well as the grounds maintenance at any other Council site, such as housing, social services, facilities or highways sites.

You will also lead on public and third party liaison and answer enquiries relating to Parks and Green Spaces in the borough and provide expert technical advice where appropriate.

As a successful candidate you will have an appropriate and related professional qualification (minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent), have experience of managing and monitoring in the parks and green spaces environment.
