The Resident Services Team is responsible for managing 17,000 council homes across six localised hubs within the borough. The team provides a comprehensive and customer-focused housing service, adapting support to meet the individual needs of each resident. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join one of our hubs. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in delivering a high-quality housing management service, working directly with residents to address their needs and concerns. You will collaborate closely with various internal and external teams, developing skills in tenancy management, inspections, and resident engagement to ensure a first-class service is maintained. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, a passion for supporting communities, and a commitment to developing the skills needed to become a Neighbourhood Housing Officer.
* This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
*This is an entry level position (grade 7). The post holder will be subject to a 12-month training period.
They will be expected to make continuous progress towards learning the role and will progress to the Neighbourhood Housing Officer Role (Grade 8) once they are able to demonstrate the learning objectives. This must be achieved by the expiry of the 12-month training period.
