At Ealing we are proud of our reputation for providing excellent, innovative support to children, young people and their families. With Ofsted grading Ealing’s Children and Family Services ‘Good’ in 2024, it could not be a better time to join us.
We are developing and growing on our offer to those young people who may be at risk of or experiencing extrafamilial harm. To that end, we are committed to further understanding why Ealing children and young people go missing as well as how they can best be supported and prevented from going missing.
We are currently seeking a Missing Coordinator to join our Contextual Safeguarding Team who is passionate about supporting professionals who are working with children and young people who go missing. You will have a strong knowledge of missing processes and procedures and understand the challenges that are faced by professionals working with this cohort as well as the various push and pull factors that can lead to young people going missing.
This is an exciting role which you will have the opportunity to develop and inform. You will help to design and lead on some innovative approaches to practice, such as developing the Return Home Interview offer in Ealing.
With a highly collaborative style, you should have experience of working with complex child protection/safeguarding issues in a multi-agency setting and with the ability to work both at an operational and strategic level.
You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to appropriately support and challenge decision makers from different agencies.
Ealing Council is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Ealing follows safe recruitment practices to protect children and vulnerable adults.
