Job description

Ealing Council’s Ranger Team is responsible for ensuring that parks and open spaces are safe and welcoming to Ealing’s residents and visitors. Additionally, the Ranger Team work closely with local community groups and volunteers, whilst promoting, protecting and enhancing conservation sites.

As Lead Ranger of the Park Rangers you will play a pivotal role in implementing the Council’s programme to activate and support citizens including the promotion of volunteering opportunities within parks and open spaces and supporting the work of colleagues, individuals, groups and/or organisations by providing guidance, tools and advice.

You will have the ability of managing and updating Ealing’s Biodiversity Action Plan, reviewing and creating Green Flag Management Plans, overseeing the safe management of Council’s assets (including buildings, equipment and vehicles).

As a successful candidate you will have an appropriate and related professional qualification (minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent), have experience of working in the parks and open spaces environment and experience working in a management/supervisory role.

This role is subject to Ealing’s enhanced vetting process.

You must have the right to work in the UK.  Evidence for the right to work in the UK will be requested at the interview stage.
