About the role:

Ealing Council have an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy HR operations team as a HR Operations Officer on a full-time, 35 hours per week, hybrid basis with set office days (currently Monday and Wednesday).

Joining the HR operations team, you will be providing a wide range of administrative duties for schools which include setting up new employees/ changes of posts and issuing employment contracts. You will also provide first level HR policy, terms and conditions and general HR enquiries advice to all Ealing Council employees, managers of all levels and school staff of all levels.

About you:

As the first point of contact on all HR matters and advice, the HR Operations Officer role is an essential part of the HR service.

Our ideal HR Operations Officer will:

  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude – key to the success of this role
  • Possess a drive to learn and build on your existing HR knowledge and experience
  • Be a proactive individual, willing to get involved in the day-to-day functions of the service and beyond!
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with customers on delivering solutions and be confident in communicating with different stakeholders across all levels.
  • Be committed to ensuring the HR Operations functions work efficiently across the council and the schools we serve.
  • Have excellent oral and written skills and ability to interact confidently via the telephone, Microsoft Teams, face to face and emails.
  • Hold a professional certification in Human Resources level 3 (CIPD) is advantageous but not essential; however, a willingness to attain the qualification will be looked at favourably.
