Job description

Hostel Officer Female-Only

Social housing is in short supply but customer demand for services and expectations are high.  As a local housing authority, we need to be able to offer the best possible customer service, in this difficult climate.

The Hostels Team is located within the Council’s Allocations and Accommodation service area and works with homeless households living in temporary accommodation.  If successful you will work with colleagues to deliver an enhanced housing management service to residents in a wide variety of properties including female-only accommodation, providing both a property and resident services.

To rise to the challenge of helping residents achieve their housing outcomes, you will need:

  • experience of working in a housing service or equivalent
  • experience of using IT, information systems and databases
  • experience of dealing with customers with a wide range of support needs
  • experience of property management including day to day operational management.
