This role provides an opportunity to become an Ealing Council Tax Officer to assist our teams in the billing and recovery of Council Tax.
We are looking for an individual who is able to work within our Council Tax Teams in the collection of the tax. We want the successful candidate to be able to meet the challenges and opportunities related to this role.
Ealing bills and recovers Council Tax from domestic properties and this important role supports the income collection for the council.
This role requires active communication with Council Tax payers, especially those who have contacted the council concerning their bills and liability, or are seeking assistance or in arrears. This contact will variously be through email, telephone, letter and at court.
What are we looking for?
An individual who can update system accounts to bill liable parties appropriately and recover outstanding balances and negotiate payment arrangements.
An individual who is able to demonstrate they can use databases and software in the collection of Council Tax balances. (Experience of using NEC/Northgate software is advantageous).
An individual who is able to work within a busy team and follow instruction towards meeting our goals.
An individual who is able to work towards our collection targets and clear their work to expected standard.
An individual who is able to communicate online, by letter and in-person at court.
