Contracts Officer, Commissioning Alliance

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Officer to join our team. In this vital role, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to monitor and manage contracts with providers and suppliers who care for our looked after children. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that these providers are delivering the highest quality of care and support to our children.
The Commissioning Alliance is the West London Alliance’s project to support collaborative work between member local authorities in West London and beyond. This role provides a unique opportunity to support and work with a number of local authorities to collectively improve standards for our children.
The West London Alliance is hosted by Ealing Council and you will be an Ealing employee. While you will be based at the head offices in Ealing, the role is hybrid and you will be expected to spend a significant amount of your time visiting suppliers and the services they provide to our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of providers and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address any issues or concerns related to the care and support of looked after children.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to assess the quality of care provided.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations to improve service delivery.
- Ensure that all providers adhere to local authority policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in contract management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by looked after children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
