Ealing Council has two exciting apprenticeship opportunities, for Ealing residents who are enthusiastic and highly motivated.
We are looking for applicants who are particularly interested working for the public sector to make a difference, by meeting the needs of a diverse community.
Apprenticeships are a great way to learn a range of new skills, knowledge and behaviours while working on the job. As an apprentice, you will get paid to work at Ealing council and will be fully supported to achieve your apprenticeship, with the potential to progress onto the next level or into a new role.
To successfully start an Ealing council apprenticeship, you will have to pass four competitive stages, followed by final background and reference checks.
Stage one is by submitting your CV and supporting statement stating why you want to apply for the position and become an apprentice.
You will be notified at each stage of your progress, therefore, it is important to check your email folders regularly including spam or junk.
Current vacancies
• Asset management transformation apprentice. Business administration level 3
• Accounts Payable, Support Apprentice. Business administration level 3. (Please note that this position is likely to start in August 2025).
You can apply if you fulfil one of the following:
A. You are a resident of the London Borough of Ealing (proof of residency will be checked)
B. You attended a school in the London Borough of Ealing, or have valid GCSEs or equivalent obtained at an Ealing school within the past 3 years (proof of will be required)
C. You attended a college in the London Borough of Ealing (college registration will be checked)
D. The London Borough of Ealing is your corporate parent (care leavers).
Please note the additional eligibility criteria:
• You must be aged 16 years or over, unless the role profile states otherwise
• If you are in year 11 then you cannot start an apprenticeship until after your last official school day
• Hold a British or European passport or have indefinite leave to remain in the UK
• You cannot undertake an apprenticeship in the same skills area if you already have the equivalent level of qualification
• You cannot apply if you have already undertaken an apprenticeship with Ealing Council
• Under the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974 you must disclose any spent or unspent convictions. There are some service areas that will not be able to consider CV’s where there are spent or unspent cautions or convictions. However, many of these apprenticeship placements can be considered, only if these are declared.
Whilst we will accept CVs from candidates that meet the above-mentioned minimum requirement, anyone with a level 3, 4 or above qualification, for example, a degree will still require a suitability check. This is to ensure that the person undertaking an apprenticeship, will learn new knowledge, skills and behaviours different to their education achievement and experiential attainment. Mandatory group screening workshop in person at Ealing council, Perceval house: Monday 2 June 9am till 2pm
Applicants put forward to the next stage:
Interviews and practical work tasks begin week commencing 9 June 2025
Apprenticeship starts: July 2025 (*subject to successful pre-employment check clearance)
