Fixed-term contract for external candidates and/or secondment opportunity for Ealing Council employees for 18 months
We have an exciting new vacancy in our team for a social work practitioner or social worker to support and develop the practice of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Adult Services Care Assistants (ASCAs). This role will be managed by the Head of Service for the Social Care Academy and will work closely with the Principal Social Worker in Adults Services to ensure social care practice within Adults Services is consistent.
You will need to be a passionate practice leader for qualified social workers. occupational therapists and ASCAs, responsible for modelling; best practice, mentoring, coaching, commissioning of the annual programme for social care professionals supporting their development and growth. This will include embedding good practice and raising practice standards to improve the experience of these workers and help to retain them within the organisation.
If you:
- understand the training, development and practice needs of social care professionals and ASCA’s and enabling their learning
- have a social work qualification and working towards a practice education award
- have proven experience of managing staff
- can demonstrate your ability to facilitate training.

This position is for a fixed period of 18 months. External applicants will be offered a fixed-term contract and existing Ealing Council employees will be offered the opportunity of a secondment.
