Hours: 35 hours a week, term time only plus four weeks (permanent)

If you have the ambition to be a Swimming Pool Manager, there’s never been a more exciting time to join Horsenden Primary School. We are a local authority run primary school in the leafy area of Greenford in Ealing and we are looking for a talented and passionate Swimming Pool Manager to manage all aspects of our on-site swimming pool and swim school.
There’s no such thing as a typical day as our school’s Swimming Pool Manager. That’s what makes the role so special. Here, you could be doing anything from unlocking the pool facilities and setting up, to ordering supplies and checking everything is perfect for our pupils and customers. You’ll ensure the pool facilities are all running as they should be – handling customer queries and bookings managing your team and ensuring the successful operation of the Seahorse Swim School.
Your own development is just as important, as we’ll train you to sharpen your skills in this diverse role. The key responsibilities of this role will be to support with the development and implementation of the Strategic Plan and annual Business Plan for our school while also ensuring the health, safety and enjoyment of all our stakeholders. The successful candidate will have previous pool management experience, and be responsible for the management of the swimming pool facilities including pool plant management and water testing regime.
The successful candidate will be:
  • Experienced in swimming pool plant management
  • Able to build positive customer relationships (children and adults) and manage databases
  • Strong in organisational, financial, interpersonal and communication skills
  •  A team leader with the ability to line manage and performance manage others
  • Able to use own initiative to identify issues, problem solve and implement solutions
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision
  • Customer service focussed with health and safety knowledge
  • Qualified in the following: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, Pool Plant Operator, Pool Management Qualification, SEQ Level 3 Swim Coordinator qualification and First Aid at Work. Training will be provided as required.
