About the school
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a Headteacher of an established nursery school and children’s centre, located in the heart of Acton, West London. The nursery school is highly regarded in the community as a caring, creative place for children to learn and develop through their child-led play, interests and creativity with skilled adults who form strong relationships with them and their families.
The current headteacher has left after taking a one year sabbatical.
About you
We are looking to appoint a motivated and inspiring leader with the experience, knowledge, skills and commitment to enhance the success of this inclusive nursery school and children’s centre.
We are looking for candidates with:
- *Excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to teamwork and a strong communicator.
- *A thorough knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework and how this interpreted in practice with young children.
- *The ability to organise and run the business and administrative side of the nursery, including experience in budget setting.
- *Proven track record of leading a team with the ability to provide guidance and mentoring.
- *A creative thinker with the ability to build on the current exemplary practice of the nursery school and to identify further opportunities to enhance pedagogy and practice for the future. through a play-based approach and a holistic curriculum.
- *A commitment to working collaboratively with parents as partners.
- *Experience and understanding of working with children who have additional needs and their families, is an advantage.
The successful applicant will be supported by an experienced staff team and an active governing body.
