This is an opportunity to manage and co-ordinate the work of a busy surveying and clerk of works team and be responsible for deploying surveyors to deliver on the priorities for the whole Housing Property and Service Delivery team.
We are looking for an experienced person with excellent communication skills, who is highly motivated and committed to delivering an efficient, customer focused high quality service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the surveying and clerk of works team to successfully deliver responsive repairs, voids, planned works, major repairs and disrepair work to Council properties and communal areas.
This position will work alongside the responsive repairs manager, capital and planned works manager, plus the major works and voids manager and a team of surveyors.
Essential for this role is relevant professional membership in building surveying or similar discipline [e.g. CIOB or RICS] or working towards membership.

You must have:
- A full driving licence with access to daily use of a private motor vehicle.
- Experience of using SOR codes and composite codes in responsive repairs and building works.
This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
