Job description

This opportunity is currently only available to Ealing Council employees and people working at Ealing Council.
Secondment Opportunity until the end of December 2021 with a possible extension.

The London Borough of Ealing is striving for excellence and is committed to delivering effective services to meet the needs of our customers. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Project Support Officer to support the work of the Test and Trace Programme, a vital part of Ealing Council’s COVID Response.

The role is demanding and fast paced, but interesting and varied. You will need to provide comprehensive support to the Project Operations Manager, Test and Trace Programme together with working closely with colleagues from across the council on the various streams of the project.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

• Provide comprehensive business, secretarial and administrative support to the Project Operations Manager

• Co-ordinate quality administrative services undertake project and development work as directed by senior leadership to deliver the required outcomes

• Work with minimum supervision

• Set priorities, meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting tasks, showing flexibility

• Liaise professionally with a wide range of people, internal and external, both face-to-face and on the telephone.

You must have experience of:

• Servicing professional meetings and conferences

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, proactively and diplomatically with councilors, senior officers, professionals, service users and members of the public

• Good analytical skills and attention to detail

• Working within regulations and meeting deadlines

• Maintaining computerised systems using Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

• Taking in-depth confidential minutes at a senior level.
