Westside Young People’s Centre, West Ealing

Building Facilities Manager with admin and some reception duties.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and oversee the health and safety of the building, meeting key policy and procedure requirements, ensuring staff and visitors have a good, safe working environment.

Maintain and order equipment so the centre is well stocked and organised, liaising with the public, staff/visitors, and young people at the centre.

This will include booking rooms, setting up meeting areas, reporting maintenance issues for repair, undertaking administrative duties, including communicating information of the site to staff/visitors, filing, orders, data spreadsheet and inventory. This is an exciting new role, and we are looking for experienced, keen, motivated people who can work on their own initiative and manage, assist, and lead on a range of tasks to enable the smooth running of the centre.

At times there will be a need to support the service in works in other
buildings within the Integrated Youth Service portfolio.

You will be expected to attend training and development sessions on manual handling, health & safety, fire safety and other training in line with the council and needs of the role.

You will be interacting and working with a range of staff in multi-agency teams that support young people and families. including our security team.

This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

This role is subject to Ealing Council’s enhanced vetting process.
