This is an interesting opportunity to join the busy Strategic Property department at Ealing Council as the Commercial Surveyor.
Strategic Property operate within the Corporate Landlord capacity providing property advice to internal stakeholders and colleagues and manage both the Estate and Asset Management of the Council’s Commercial Portfolio.
The Commercial Estate Surveyor is required to support the Head of Asset Management – Commercial in ensuring that the Estate Management of the Council’s commercial land and property portfolio is properly undertaken in line with all best practice guidelines for the benefit of the Council.
As a qualified Chartered Surveyor, you will be responsible for identifying and delivering on potential opportunities within the Council’s commercial portfolio to drive growth, reduce voids, reduce risk and to maximise return both from a financial and socio-economic basis.
The role will work with Carter Jonas, the Council’s Valuer, to provide continuous improvement of Lease events and to ensure matters are completed in a timely manner.
We are looking for a highly motivated person with excellent communication skills and a detailed knowledge and understanding of commercial Estate Management; together with previous experience of successfully managing a mixed portfolio of property assets, proficiency of landlord and tenant matters and experience with undertaking lease events and ensuring lease compliance.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of the relevant Acts, to include but not limited to the 1954 Landlord and Tenant Act and the 1995 Landlord and Tenant (Covenants) Act.
Applicants must be a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (current) with qualified experience within the Estate Management discipline.
